Anyone that meets me knows that I love talking, like I could just talk for the world, I’m a people’s person in short. But you know when you meet someone that takes all that is normal to you like how you behave, how you normally talk and act, and they make you vulnerable (in a good way), they embed within you a feeling of excitement, curiosity and interest. This brave, loud person you knew yourself as is now somewhere else and you do not know how to react.
Now unfortunately this is not a personal story time blog but having experiences like this with people teaches me as a women to take my shot, being too comfortable is boring, you got to do what you want (obviously within reason), and most importantly you have to live for you.
As people we need to chase the feeling of being good nervous or excited and embrace the curiosity and interest you gain from meeting someone, not suppress it because it’s uncomfortable to start with, or you feel it is out of your reach. Those thoughts are not natural it’s us talking ourselves out of it due to fear. The only thing that is natural is the truth because it happened, like those feelings.
In my generation the idea of directness within any gender is not as present as it should be. We use the terms ‘you only live once’ or ‘thank god I’m alive’ loosely in my opinion, not always but sometimes we do not really understand everything we say to its full meaning. To really live in truth and not take life for granted a direct approach is needed, confidence is key and taking every opportunity is goals. Happiness is the result.
With the beautiful help of all our mothers we are present, but the concept of living is something only YOU can do, and if you don’t you’ll remember and regret it on your last breath.
On that note, take all your damn shots in life and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
